Remarkable discussion panel at NUEdialog 2024 on Sustainable Transition in Industry

Prof. Dr. Beckmann and ESI member Prof. Dr. Voigt organized and moderated the fourth expert panel of the NUEdialog on November 14th. The focus was on the highly relevant issue of the sustainable transformation in industry.

Dr. Irene Feige, Head of Climate Strategy and Circular Economy, started by presenting the position of BMW Group in current developments regarding sustainability transformation. Stephan Schlauß, Global Head of Manufacturing at Siemens AG, and Sebastian Haas, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Diehl Group, provided further valuable insights and perspectives on the challenges from a corporate perspective. Prof. Dieter Kempf, Vice President of the BDI, enriched the panel with his many years of profound experience as a representative of the Federation of German Industries (BDI). The audience actively challenged the experts with many interesting questions and remarks.

Overall, this panel offered a multifaceted view of the complex path to sustainability in the German industry and beyond!
