At this year’s European Microwave Week (EuMW), the LHFT was once again represented with numerous interesting contributions. Particularly exciting is the fact that two publications were each awarded a Young Engineer Prize. This award recognizes outstanding contributions presented by young engineers or scientists.

Leonhard Hahn received a Young Engineer Prize from the European Microwave Conference (EuMC) for his paper titled Quasi-Optical Directional Coupler Based on 3D-Printed Dielectric Image Lines for sub-THz Applications.

In addition, Max Heidbrink won a Young Engineer Prize from the European Radar Conference (EuRAD) for his paper titled Concept for Automatic Annotation of Automotive Radar Data Using AI-Segmented Camera and Lidar Reference Data.

Overall, the LHFT was represented with 18 presentations, a workshop, and a poster at the EuMC and EuRAD conferences. The LHFT also contributed to the European Microwave Exhibition with a contribution to the Massive MIMO Testbed at the Open6GHub booth.

Furthermore, two startups originating from the LHFT, Golden Devices GmbH and fiveD GmbH, were represented at two additional booths at the exhibition. fiveD also contributed a poster to the EuMW’s Automotive Forum.
