Captivating keynote speech by Prof. Voigt on “Sustainable Innovations and Business Models” at Zollhof
On 25.06.2024 Prof. Voigt was very honored to give a keynote speech on the topic of “Sustainable Innovations and Business Models” at Zollhof in Nuremberg by invitation of the student initiative “START”. The aim of the initiative is to connect start-ups from the Nuremberg region and create synergies in order to play an active role in the regional and national ecosystem. Right at the beginning of the event “scale up”, Prof. Voigt introduced the concept of sustainable innovations and provided a brief classification of different types among them. Sustainable innovations are not limited to products – innovating for a more sustainable future can also be done through adjusting the business model. In particular, circular business models that are cycling, extending, intensifying, or dematerializing material and energy loops contribute positively to the SDGs. Finally, in the key takeaways, Prof. Voigt provided an outlook for the future in which he illustrated why companies need sustainable innovations to be successful in the future and ultimately why the entire planet will benefit from sustainable innovations in the long term. Prof. Voigt and the entire team would like to thank the “START” initiative and the great audience and are already looking forward to the next event!
