The Chair FAPS had the pleasure to host the 24-month consortium meeting on June 12 and 13, 2024 in Nuremberg. This meeting marked the halfway point of the EU-funded REEPRODUCE project and was an important milestone in the joint mission to develop innovative and sustainable recycling solutions for rare earth magnets.

The project brings together the expertise of 15 European partners from industry and research. They are working together to develop and demonstrate a complete process chain from the end-of-life product to the new magnet. In intensive discussions, we were able to drive forward the construction of the planned pilot plants in particular. The partners also gained insights into our research at the FAPS sites in Erlangen and Nuremberg during guided laboratory tours. The event was rounded off with an evening event in the historic old town.
